Weekend flight deals: how Saturday and Sunday pricing really works.
Quick answer
Weekend flights usually price higher — Friday and Sunday especially — because leisure demand peaks there. The exceptions: routes with strong weekend-bound traffic patterns, and deals aimed at filling off-hours departures. Tuesday and Wednesday remain the cheaper travel days.

Making weekends cheaper
Shifting one end of the trip by a day often saves more than any promo. Compare Thursday–Saturday against Friday–Sunday, or fly back Monday instead of Sunday.
